Responsibilities:

• Builds and leads a high-performance Oncology team, provides effective mentorship and performance management. Ensures delivery on top financial and productivity goals and maintenance of customer satisfaction.

• Maintains timely and effectively communications with clients, and internally with other cross-functional business units and stakeholders. Work closely and productively with the Oncology team in San Diego. Technical support for BD work with study designs, quotations and contract discussions.

• Manages the study designs, resource allocations, and successful execution of all in vitro cellular and biochemical assays and in vivo xenograft (CDX, PDX and syngeneic) tumor model studies. Ultimately responsible for data quality, data records, timely and authoritative reporting/interpretation of experimental results to clients or project teams.

• Leads the efforts to identify and build new tumor models and other oncology capabilities at BioDuro and fulfill customer needs in cancer drug discoveries.

• Maintain updated SOPs and ensures proper training and full compliance of all SOPs and all EHS rules and regulations for all members of the Oncology department.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirement:

• PhD or MD in cancer biology, cell biology, immunology or closely related fields. 7+ years of relevant experience, with 2+ years industry experience preferably in a Biotech/Pharmaceutical/CRO setting.

Knowledge and Skills Requirement:

• Strong expertise in cancer biology and pharmacology, including various molecular and cellular techniques (e.g. qPCR, ELISA, FACS) and in vivo xenograft models

• Strong knowledge in the field of immuno-oncology.

• Strong responsibility and commitment to team and organizational successes.

• A track record of leading a successful team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
